Dana: An Irish Magazine of Independent Thought

Editors

- John Eglinton
Overview
This tiny magazine has all but disappeared into the fog of history. Dana was a small Irish review of only twelve issues from 1904 to 1905 but it provided a space that was crucial to the development of Irish thought and philosophy in this era. The journal saw some of the very first publications of James Joyce, as well as other influential modernist writers. The journal functioned as a unique colloquy for literary critical debate on subjects such as nationalism.
